Cancellation Policy:

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. As such, we require 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a $35 cancellation fee. Missed appointments will be charged at full value of the scheduled appointment.

You do not require a physician’s referral to make a physiotherapy or a massage therapy appointment. However, most extended health plans that offer coverage for these treatments require a doctor’s referral in order to receive re-imbursement for service fees. With your consent, our therapists will send a follow-up report to your family doctor after your initial session.

Duration:

Expect 45 minutes for your initial physiotherapy visit, and subsequent visits will vary between 30-45 minutes, however longer treatment times are available at the recommendation of your therapist.

Appropriate clothing:

Please come dressed in clothing you can exercise in. Shorts are preferred for lower back and lower extremity issues.

Duration:

It is most common to have at least a 60 minute session to accommodate all the areas that need to be addressed. A typical visit includes time to change,  assessment, massage, reassessment and remedial exercises. Shorter visits are also available.

Physiotherapy is not covered under BC Provincial health care. However, if you are under a certain income level the government will cover 10 visits per year to approved health care providers under the Medical Services Plan (MSP). You can call 1 800 663-7867 with your health card number ready to determin your eligibility, or call our receptionist at 250-362-7333. Infinity charges a user fee in addition to the coverage provided by MSP.

If you are an injured worker with a claim through Work Safe BC, please call ahead with your claim number and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete some initial paperwork.

ICBC patients should bring their claim number to their initial visit and will be charged a user fee at each visit.

Most extended health care plans provided by employers have coverage for physiotherapy. Percentages and amounts vary by plan, it is best to contact your extended health care provider to find out the details of your plan.

Infinity offers direct billing for 11 major insurers including: Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Desjardins, Sunlife, and Great West Life. Please bring your policy and ID numbers with you to your session and we can determine your eligibility and coverage for direct billing.
